General

  1. Are your locations easily accessible?
    All our locations are accessible via the main roads in the Netherlands, allowing you to continue
    your journey easily and quickly: De Aalscholver (A6 towards Almere), De Lepelaar (A6 towards Lelystad), Nieuwegein (A27 towards Utrecht) and Nunspeet (A28 towards Harderwijk)
  2. Can I bring my pet to the hotel or restaurant?
    Yes, you can. It is free for the restaurant. If you want to bring your pet to the hotel, there is a one-time fee of €12.50 for the stay.
  3. Do your locations have charging points for electric cars?
    Yes, all Hajé locations have charging points nearby. In addition to our own points, there are also many fast-charging points from Shell, Allego, and Fastned nearby.
  4. Until what time are the Hajé Take Away’s open?
    The Take Away’s at De Aalscholver, De Lepelaar, and Nunspeet are open from 06:00 to 20:00. Our location in Nieuwegein does not have a Take Away.
  5. Can I park for free at all Hajé locations?
    Yes, all our locations have spacious parking areas, so there is almost always a parking spot available.
  6. Do the Hajé locations also have meeting rooms?

  7. Are there (electric) bikes available at the Hajé locations?
    We only have two bikes available for our hotels in Lelystad.
  8. Is there Wi-Fi available in the restaurants and hotels?
    Yes, you can use the Wi-Fi network for free in all our restaurants and hotels.
  9. Can we organize our wedding with you?

  10. Can I shower as a truck driver at your locations?
    At Hajé locations De Aalscholver, De Lepelaar, and Nunspeet, we have special shower rooms that everyone can use, ideal for truck drivers who want to freshen up after a long drive.

Restaurant

  1. Do you also take allergies and/or special diets into account?
    Absolutely, please inform us of your dietary requirements when placing your order, and our kitchen will accommodate them. Additionally, we use an allergen chart so you can see exactly which allergens our dishes contain. For our bread dishes, there is also a gluten-free alternative.
  2. Do you have a breakfast buffet?
    No, we only offer à la carte breakfast for €14.50 per person.
  3. Are there high children chairs available in the Hajé restaurants?
    Yes, all our restaurants have high children chairs available.

Hotel

  1. What facilities do your hotel rooms have?
    The size of the hotel rooms may vary by location and accommodation. Our rooms are standardly equipped with the following: Smart TV, wardrobe, shower room + toilet, and a hairdryer. Of course, we provide linens, towels, and toiletries for use during your stay.
  2. Are there refrigerators in the hotel rooms?
    No, unfortunately, there are no refrigerators in the hotel rooms. Do you use medication that needs to be kept cool? Please inform the reception so we can ensure your medication is stored safely and cool.
  3. When can I check in?
    You can check in at all our hotels from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you arrive later, our restaurants in Lelystad are open until 10:00 PM, so there is still a possibility to check in a bit later than the allowed time. Do you want to check in earlier than 2:00 PM? If the room was occupied the day before your arrival, the previous guest has until 11:00 AM to leave the room. Since housekeeping needs to inspect and clean the room first, you cannot enter the room before 1:00 PM. We charge €25 for this extra service.
  4. When can I check out?
    You can check out at all our hotels until 11:00 AM at the latest. Do you want to check out later than 11:00 AM? Since our housekeeping needs to act quickly in case of a new reservation on the day of your departure, a fee of €25 will be charged.
  5. Are there age restrictions for the hotels?
    Yes, if you are under 18 years old, we need permission from your parents or guardians via email, along with a copy of their passport. They can then make the reservation for you. An adult must always be present during your stay.
  6. Do the rooms have air conditioning?
    Yes, all our hotel rooms have air conditioning.
  7. Is smoking allowed in the hotels?
    Smoking is not allowed in our hotel rooms. Outside the hotel rooms, on the terraces and/or balconies, smoking is allowed. Please be considerate of other guests.
  8. Does the hotel have baby cots?
    Yes, all our hotels have baby cots that you can reserve for €25.
  9. Can I get an extra bed in the hotel room?
    Yes, for €25 an extra bed can be placed in any room (except for the hotel ark De Aalscholver).
  10. I have to pay tourist tax, what is that?
    If you stay in a hotel and are not a resident of that city and/or village, you have to pay tourist tax. This can vary by region. For example, at our hotels in Lelystad, you pay €2.50 per person per night and at our hotel in Nieuwegein €1.79 per person per night.
  11. Is there a bathtub in the rooms?
    There are a few rooms in our hotels that have a bathtub. At Hajé de Aalscholver, the hotel ark rooms have a bathtub, and at Hajé de Lepelaar, the Suite has a bathtub. The rest of the rooms are all equipped with showers.
  12. How can I cancel my room reservation?
    You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the day of your arrival. After that, 100% of the first night will be charged. The ‘non-refundable’ rates cannot be canceled. If your reservation was made through another party (Booking, Expedia, etc.), you must first inform that party about the cancellation. They will then contact us to finalize the cancellation.
  13. Is there a minibar in the hotel rooms?
